Overview

Why CPR & Low Voltage Rescue Certificate Check?

Low voltage rescue (LVR) training teaches a worker how to free someone safely from a live low voltage panel or conductor and then start CPR. It is usually done as a pair of units: UETDRRF004 (perform rescue from a live LV panel) and HLTAID009 (provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation). Electricians, electrical apprentices and anyone working on or near live low voltage are commonly required to hold both, and most employers and sites expect them to be refreshed every 12 months.

The common gap is a certificate that shows only one of the two units, or a CPR refresher done on its own while the rescue unit has lapsed. A full First Aid & CPR certificate covers CPR but not the rescue unit, so it doesn't replace LVR for electrical work.

How to check a worker's CPR and LVR

  1. Ask for the Statement of Attainment, or both Statements if the units were issued separately.
  2. Look for both unit codes: UETDRRF004 for the rescue and HLTAID009 for CPR.
  3. Check the date of issue. If it is more than 12 months old, ask for a refresher before the worker goes near live equipment.
  4. Keep a copy with the worker's file alongside their electrical licence.

With RefChecks the worker uploads their certificate through a secure link. We confirm whether both units are present, record the RTO and date of issue, and flag it clearly if one of the two is missing. Order it from Background Checks, on any plan.

What's Included

CPR & Low Voltage Rescue Certificate Check Features

Electrical Contractors

Electrical contractors check each electrician and apprentice holds current CPR and LVR before they work on or near live switchboards.

Mining & Industrial Sites

Mine and plant sites usually make current LVR and CPR a condition of site access for electrical and instrumentation workers.

Labour Hire for Trades

Labour hire firms placing electrical workers verify both units before dispatch, so a lapsed rescue unit is caught before the first shift.

Facilities & Data Centres

Building services and data centre teams working near live LV equipment keep a verified record of each worker's rescue and CPR training.

Process

How It Works

1

Send the Request

Order a CPR + Low Voltage Rescue check from Background Checks. The worker gets a secure link.

2

Worker Uploads Their Certificate

They upload their Statement of Attainment, or two if the units were issued separately.

3

We Check Both Units

We confirm whether HLTAID009 and UETDRRF004 are both present, and record the RTO and date of issue. A missing unit is flagged.

4

Result in Their Report

The result and the certificate are saved in the worker's report, showing the date of issue so the next refresher is easy to see.
