Security work in New South Wales is licensed by the Security Licensing & Enforcement Directorate (SLED) of NSW Police under the Security Industry Act. Class 1 licences cover guarding activities such as unarmed guarding, crowd control and monitoring, Class 2 licences cover consulting, selling and training activities, and businesses providing security services hold a master licence.
